The Air Kayak 16 is long and narrow and turns every stroke into effortless gliding. This is the perfect boat for more experienced rowers looking for performance and feel similar to a rowing shell. Easily stowed away and comes with a backpack, repair kit, fin, pump, and strap.
This is kayak also includes seats for use as a regular kayak!

Air Kayak 16 Features & Innovations
The Air Kayak 16 packs some serious fun into a portable package. This kayak is made with drop-stitch construction which gives it a very solid feel. It will feel firm under foot and has much less drag than a typical inflatable kayak. Used as a rowing boat, this 16 foot kayak can take up to three people for a relaxing paddle when you don’t want to row. We sell a number of kayak paddles that pair nicely with this boat.
Solid Bow and Stern
Solid plastic bow and stern caps provide the ultimate collision protection. The Air Kayak is capable of tackling some light white-water when you aren’t out rowing.
Backpack with Wheels Storage Bag
High quality backpack with luggage style wheels are perfect for moving and storing the Air Kayak as well as transporting the boat as checked luggage.
Rapid-style Air Pump
The included high quality hand pump can pump up the Air Kayak 16 in less than 10 minutes. Built in gauge adds assurance that the proper pressure has been reached.
High Sides for Safety
The higher walls of this boat are great for bringing a young or furry friend along to enjoy a row. These sides will also keep gear dry(er) in choppy conditions. It would still be wise to store any important gear in a dry bag.
Woven-Fusion Drop Stitch Materials
This special construction method was pioneered by the ROWonAIR team. They needed a material that could withstand high pressures, provide more rigidity than normal drop stitch, and weigh as little as possible.
Multi-Sport Functionality
The Air Kayak 16 is primarily sold as a rowing shell for use with the ROWonAIR Universal Rowing Unit, but has an added bonus. Add some paddles and install the included kayak seats and the Air Kayak becomes a family kayak for exploration!

This foot stretcher upgrade switches out the normal axle style stretcher for the Concept2 Flex Foot stretcher that is common on their new generation of ergs.

These foot raisers are stackable as a spacer/shim for mounting the ROWonAIR rowing system into other boats. You can also use them to lift the skid a little which could be advantageous in very choppy waters.

Takacat Volume Inflator
This fast and easy battery-operated inflation pump is easy to use, smaller than a soda can, and has a built-in battery that will run the pump for a total of 45 minutes. It will work with any boat that uses a Halkey-Roberts valve. The pump fills most of the air volume in the chambers, so you only need to top up the pressure with a hand or foot pump (usually included with your inflatable boat).
