TIPS FOR OPTIMUM TAKACAT PERFORMANCE
Have your propeller cupped: This is a technique used to enhance the performance of propellers under certain conditions, in this case, a tunnel hull. A cupped propeller will exhibit very high efficiency at high speeds as well as minimize cavitation under heavy loads.
Hydrofoil plate: We have found Permatrim Hydrofoils to be a very good match with the Takacat hulls.
Outboard height: If you experience any water kick back it's most likely that your outboard is too deep in the water. Simply raise your outboard with a wedge until you find the optimum running height for your outboard / load / boat set-up.
