With a seamlessly attachable lithium battery and outstanding efficiency, the Spirit 1.0 Evo is a great alternative to rowing or a noisy gas outboard. The Spirit 1.0 Evo can do everything a 3 HP outboard motor can, but is lighter, cleaner, quieter, and more convenient.
The Evo has a few features that make it different from the Plus:
- Evo features hydroregeneration, this means that as you tow your dinghy or sail your boat with the prop left to spin by dragging the the water, the motor will recharge the integrated battery pack.
- The Spirit 1.0 Evo can be set up for use with a tiller or used as a remote throttle version. ePropulsion even offers control options that can be top mounted, side mounted and even supports dual throttle controls.
Geared more towards electric boats over dinghy uses. The Spirit 1.0 Evo is the perfect motor for a lightweight J/boat (or other weight sensitive racer) for docking.
ePropulsion has mastered the direct drive motor. The only noise this motor makes is the sound of the boat's hull passing through the water, it is literally quieter than a whisper (no high pitched whine like other motors on the market).
