Sport Hull
The Escape 1 is designed to be a sporty all-around kayak. It is smooth through the water, gliding from stroke to stroke with ease thanks to its long and sleek waterline. The Escape 1 goes feature-for-feature with many popular composite kayaks, making this the ideal alternative to a composite sea kayak.
Designed for Excellent Control
The unique V-shaped hull design stabilizes the Escape 1 and provides it with excellent tracking. The enlarged upper tube hugs the paddler’s hips for superior boat control and ample buoyancy when edging.
Rubber Deck
The permanently installed waterproof deck is made with the same rubber skin used to construct the hull of this kayak. The deck keeps the paddler and interior of the kayak dry, increasing comfort while paddling and decreasing pack away time, no need to dry out the inside before packing it away.
The cockpit can be covered with an optional sprayskirt for additional protection in rough waters or on cold days.
Thanks to the flat deck the Escape 1 is not adversely affected by strong winds and can hold a course even in a crosswind.
Easy Access Bow Net
Large bow net allows for storage of loose items, such as water bottles and other equipment that needs to be close at hand. The support lines for the net also provide a place to clip on other bags and gear.
Ample Storage for Any Adventure
Under the waterproof deck you will find ample space for bags and gear. Optional custom fitted dry bags for the bow and stern provide safe storage for gear that needs extra protection. Deck mounted drybags are also available for longer expeditions and carrying capacity.

The rubber material is strong and capable of withstanding collision with rocks and scraping on shallow bottoms. A strong plastic strake protects the bow from any head on impacts.

The high quality inflatable seat allows for infinite adjustment to position and firmness. A high backrest and a flat seat bottom keeps your back feeling good and your center of gravity low.
Infinitely adjustable footrests provide a firm place to push your feet on, making the boat feel like an extension of your body. The optional rudder pedals mount onto these footrests for easy steerage!
